Interesting article, talks about how this tool allows companies to build ‘social profiles’ of those that click on links, and to gauge the ‘influence’ of those users. A little glimpse in to all that is being collected about all of us (speaking from the other side of the screen)! Social media monitoring is only a small part of Meltwater’s revenue stream right now – but is growing fast – one of those new whole industries that didn’t exist a few years ago.
